 1.Why do people living in different regions like different food?

 Besides terrain, climate and religion, individual cultures also influence and develop different tastes around the world. Nomadic peoples can eat only what nature has to offer, because they don’t farm. Culinary peculiarities also exist among different ancient tribes who live side by side. As the world shrinks, regional preferences will surely be subject to increasing dilution, but this is happening slower than you might think. Perhaps this is why you see Italian teens shunning their local vino in favor of American-style beer, and of course, while coffee and crisps were "almost unknown" in China a decade ago, they're now growingly popular here.

 2.Do different places have their own popular products?

 Yes. As I know from the travel experiences I’ve had, the popular foods around the world are so different. Among them, the most tasteful are those in south-east Asia. For example, Myanmar’s people love so much rich beefy soup, with some chopped coriander sprinkled on top. As it’s filled with various ingredients, it has such a good flavor. In America, donut shops are everywhere, so I guess it’s one of the most popular foods for Americans. People have them anywhere, at any time. While they do taste good, to me, they’re equivalent to a ‘calorie bomb’. A donut a day keeps a slim body away.

 3.What food is popular throughout the world?

 Speaking of popular food, I can think of pasta and fried potatoes. I guess pasta comes to the top of the list. Part of what makes pasta so popular is the variety. Among them, the most popular type is spaghetti. People eat pasta with all kinds of spaghetti sauce you can think of. There are too many to list. As for fried potatoes, it goes well with different foods, such as eggs, vegetables and fruit. I vote for fried potatoes, not that I'm a fan of them, but I cannot think of any cuisine that doesn't include them. In China, fried potato is usually used for cooking with beef. Americans include them in breakfast, pastries, etc.

 4.Why do people use imported products?

 I think it comes down to three reasons. When a consumer decides if they will buy the product or not, the reputation of a brand comes as the key. In every corner of the world, be it China, America, or France, social status is very important. Being able to travel and buy international brands tells someone’s wealth and status. We purchase foreign branded products also because of the scarcity of certain products. The scarcer the product is, the more it attracts us. So, the scarcity can lead to a strong desire to own the product. This strategy works perfectly in China, among the wealthy as well as the middle class.
