In1999,SwitzerlandhadthehighestsalesofFairtradecoffee,at3million,whilerevenuefromFairtradebananaswashighestintheUK,at15million.By2004,however,salesofFairtradecoffeeintheUKhadrisento20million,andthiswasoverthreetimeshigherthanSwitzerland’ssalesfigureforFairtradecoffeeinthatyear.Theyear2004alsosawdramaticincreasesinthemoneyspentonFairtradebananasintheUKandSwitzerland,withrevenuesrisingby32millionand4.5millionrespectively.

SalesofthetwoFairtradeproductswerefarlowerinDenmark,BelgiumandSweden.SmallincreasesinsalesofFairtradecoffeecanbeseen,butrevenueremainedat2millionorbelowinallthreecountriesinbothyears.Finally,itisnoticeablethatthemoneyspentonFairtradebananasactuallyfellinBelgiumandSweden.
