如何利用工作中的休息時(shí)間

很多公司都會(huì)鼓勵(lì)員工在工作累了就休息一下,等精神恢復(fù)了再繼續(xù)工作。不過(guò)最新的研究顯示,如果這些休息和工作無(wú)關(guān)的話(huà),反而會(huì)影響工作效率。
CharlotteFritz,anassistantprofessorinpsychologyatPortlandStateUniversity,tellsHarvardBusinessReviewthattheseshortbreaks—checkinguponyourfamilyormakingpersonalphonecalls—were"sometimesevenassociatedwithincreasedweariness."
美國(guó)波特蘭州立大學(xué)的心理學(xué)助理教授CharlotteFritz告訴《哈佛商業(yè)評(píng)論》說(shuō),如果休息的時(shí)候是在查看家里人在忙些什么或者打私人電話(huà)的話(huà),那么這樣的休息反而會(huì)讓人感到更加疲勞。

然而,如果員工的休息是和工作相關(guān)的話(huà),比如在午休的時(shí)候進(jìn)行頭腦風(fēng)暴,或者表?yè)P(yáng)一個(gè)同事,那么他們?cè)谛菹⒑缶駮?huì)更加振奮。“這種觀(guān)點(diǎn)想說(shuō)明的就是,如果你一直處于工作狀態(tài)中,那么你將會(huì)做得更好,感覺(jué)也會(huì)更加良好。”
WhenFritzlookedintovacations,shefoundthatthistimeoffwasgoodforemployees'well-beingandhealth,butthatoncethevacationwasover,thebeneficialeffectsassociatedwithitfadeprettyquickly—withintwotothreeweeks.Togetthemostoutofyourvacationdays,shesaysitmightbebettertotakeseveralshortvacationsthroughouttheyearratherthansavingthemallupforone,longbreak.
當(dāng)Fritz研究放假對(duì)員工的影響時(shí),她指出放假對(duì)于員工的身心都是有益的,不過(guò)一旦假期結(jié)束,這種益處就會(huì)在兩到三周內(nèi)很快消退。要更好地利用放假帶來(lái)的好處,那就最好多放幾次小長(zhǎng)假,而不是把所有假期集中到一起放一個(gè)大假。
